Construction of the $5.5 million Highton Enhanced Children’s Centre was completed in January 2019.

The new centre in Highton includes a five-star energy rated building featuring a kindergarten with two rooms catering for 66 children, plus a maternal child health centre and community space, dedicated waiting room, Multipurpose Room for children’s playgroup activities, an after-school care service, administration facilities and on-site parking.

AES involvement in this project included the design and supply of LED Lighting Solutions (specified supplier) ensuring that all objectives and criteria were met in achieving the five-star energy rating.
